Ginger Jaritza

Ginger Jaritza's story

Ginger Jaritza and her family live in Montecristi, a beautiful place with hard-working, friendly people and ancient traditions. They are experts in creating handicrafts from toquilla straw, wicker, piquigua and wood. They are also known for making high-quality toquilla straw hats, which are recognised both at home and abroad.

Ginger Jaritza is an exceptional mother who, in order to provide the best for her son, works as an assistant in a fish processing plant and receives a salary for her work. In her spare time, she sells products from Avon catalogues (beauty products, cosmetics, perfumes and accessories for women). She takes these products to different areas of the city and also promotes them through WhatsApp, sending orders by courier to customers' homes. In addition, she buys and sells tagua [palm ivory] in its natural form, which she offers to button factories and places where various objects and jewellery are made, among others.

Ginger Jaritza is very grateful for the assistance and ongoing support she receives, which enables her to give her best to her family.

This loan is for purchasing bags of tagua, lipsticks, nail polish, eye shadow, eyeliner, perfumes, creams, chains, bracelets, among other items.
