Solomy's story
Solome lives in the town of Gayaza in the Gayaza region of Uganda. She is married and has 4 children who are all currently in school.
For the past 7 years, Solome has been working hard to manage her boutique, which sells clothes.
To help her to expand her business, Solome has requested a loan of 4,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda.
The loan will be used to buy more clothes for sale and will help Solome to generate greater profits and will be able to improve standards of living.
Solome hopes that in the future she will be able to buy land.
Solome is a member of BRAC's Microfinance program (MF). The program primarily serves small group members like Solome who do not have collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
