I was diagnosed with a brain tumor at a young age, and it left me with a coordination disorder that made growing up challenging. I have always been competitive by nature but struggled to keep up with my friends on the field or court. That frustration pushed me to find new outlets, and eventually I discovered powerlifting. The weight room gave me structure, discipline, and a place where I could measure myself against my own progress rather than comparing myself to others.

As I started my career, I balanced life as a CPA with my passion for training, learning how to push through injuries and rebuild strength. Those lessons shaped the foundation of Big Burd Performance Systems, which I started in 2022 to help others avoid the struggles I faced. My dream is to grow this business into a trusted resource in Nashville where people can train, recover, and keep moving forward without being held back by pain.
