One Acre Fund
A loan of $500,000 helps to purchase improved seeds, fertilizer, and solar products on credit to grow more food and boost their incomes.

One Acre Fund's story
One Acre Fund provides smallholder farmers with financing for agricultural inputs, solar products, and training they need to grow their way out of hunger and poverty. Women are the primary farmers in the majority of smallholder households, where many families survive on less than $1 per person per day. With this loan, One Acre Fund will purchase improved seed, fertilizer, and solar products and extend them on credit to approximately 20,000 farmers in Nigeria.
Nigeria's planting season will begin in June and July and One Acre Fund will be purchasing and distributing inputs throughout this time. Access to quality inputs and training has helped One Acre Fund farmers increase farm profits on supported activities by an average of 35–40%.
