A loan of $7,500 helps me purchase equipment to start a mobile wax hand business.

Courtney's story
I’ve always found joy in creative expression and connection—especially in moments that bring people together in hands-on experiences. As a parent who have experienced this activity before and an artist, I wanted to build and bring something to my hometown that let families create lasting memories together. That’s how Wax Hand Creations came to life.
I started Wax Hand Creations because I know how precious it is to hold on to someone—literally. When I lost my dad earlier this year, I realized I didn’t have a physical piece of him to keep close. In his final days, I bought a hand mold kit and created a cast of his hand before we said goodbye.
That experience stayed with me. I kept thinking—why do we wait until someone is dying to create something so meaningful? I wanted to change that.
