This group was mobilized in July 2006 to create this 'banc villageois' in order to realize their ambitions and to improve their living conditions. The women in the group are active in retail commerce.
Ms. Dala, with her hand raised, is representing the group. She is 60, married, and the mother of four.
With her new loan, she intends to buy sugar, monkey bread [the fruit of the baobab tree], and more in order to make ice cream to sell. Her earning will be used to buy livestock and to support herself.
