Laura Mortara

After earning her BA in 2012 in International Development Laura moved to the Middle East to work on a resource scarcity initiatives in Jordan, Lebanon and the Palestinian Territories. Her fieldwork primarily focused on procurement of technology-based solutions to water and energy scarcity as well as raising communal awareness regarding resource-saving techniques. She returned to the US in mid 2015 to begin working on a joint Master's in International Environmental Policy and Business Administration at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California. Laura is excited to apply the knowledge and skills she has cultivated both in the field and at MIIS towards assisting Kiva's Field Partners in Colombia.
