A loan helped to add stock for her business.

Betty's story

Betty is a refugee mother who has 4 children. All of her children are school going and stay with her in Moyo. She is currently able to provide her family with two meals a day, which was not the case before.

Her full-time economic activity is trade and she has a small stall in the market that sells a variety of goods. She is a very ambitious lady and she does not have self-pity.

She has many customers, but she can't sell as much as she would like due to the limited stock. She would like to add more stock to her business.

Despite the stiff competition, her business has steadily grown. She is very certain that the future is really bright and that she will be able to achieve much more.

With this addition, she will be able to boost her sales and pay school fees. She has plans to have a permanent shop versus a stall.

She is very glad for all of the support that VisionFund and Kiva has given her to be a better person.
